We have some very exciting changes for this year: *an additional 26 minutes per class period - this will allow for the potential of more in-depth look at particular topics. *chrome books - this is the first year that social studies will be having chrome books in the classroom. We will be working on incorporating the use of these chrome books as a support tool to enhance our ability to think critically and deepen our inquiry skills. *DBQ Project - we are piloting a new program that will be used to support our critical thinking, inquiry, and writing skills. *Springfield Trip - the Springfield Trip has been moved to the 7th grade to align with the new standards that have been implemented by the State of Illinois.Information will be sent out as we enter into the school year.
